Pro Era 47
Pro Era, also known as Progressive Era, is an American hip hop collective from Brooklyn, New York City. The collective includes, among others, rappers Joey Bada$$, CJ Fly, Kirk Knight, A La $ole, Dyemond Lewis, Rawle, Ali, Dessy Hinds, Nyck Caution, Dirty Sanchez, ROKAmouth Singh, Jakk The Rhymer, along with producers Chuck Strangers, Powers Pleasant and Nile Edwards. Pro Era formed around 2009 in Brooklyn and was founded by Capital STEEZ, Joey Badass, CJ Fly and Powers Pleasant. The group contains a total of around 47 people. This includes non-musical members such as, Junior B, Tru, Dee Knows, Tony Whlgn, Kwon Swank, which act as promoters, photographers, directors and publicists, among other occupations.
R.I.P SteeZ
Capital Steez is one of the founders of Pro Era. He committed suicide on December 24, 2012. Earlier that night, he made his way to the rooftop of the Cinematic Music Group headquarters in Manhattan’s Flatiron District, where he texted a few of his closest friends to tell them that he loved them, and at exactly 11:59 PM, posted a tweet saying, "The end." He jumped off the rooftop of the building later that night
